This is a typical itinerary, which is subject to change. This tour does not include Halong Bay, however if you are less gem focused, you can swap out the two days in Yen The for a cruise. There is an additional charge for this. I can arrange the tour but will not accompany you. The Halong Bay tour company will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi and bring you back. We will meet again when I bring the rest of the group back from Yen The.

Day 1. We arrive in Bangkok in the evening, just in time for a late dinner.

Day 2. We visit the Jewellery Trade Centre, home to hundreds of dealers.

Day 3. Fly to Hanoi and transfer to our hotel

Day 4. Hanoi gem shopping

Day 5. 4 hour minivan to Yen The

Day 6. Morning market and visit to gem mine

Day 7. Minivan back to hanoi and fly 1.5 hours to Pleiku

Day 8. Visit Peridot mines in Pleiku

Day 9. 1.5 hour flight to Saigon

Day 10. Jade shopping in Saigon

Day 11. 1.5 hour flight to Da Nang for Malachite shopping. 40 minute transfer to Hoi An

Day 12. Rest and recreation in Hoi An.

Day 13. Minivan back to Da Nang for a 2 hour flight to Bangkok

Day 14 Bangkok shopping

Day 15 Bangkok, tour ends.
