Hoi An which is a great place to relax in.
Thanh Hoa is the centre for Aquamarine and Heliodor, located about 170km south of Vietnam. It takes an eternity to get thrre at an average of 50kmph.
We met three dealers who had a huge range of gems, rough and crystal specimens.

I also bought two of the best Topaz specimens I have ever seen.
It is Sunday in Hanoi, which can only mean one thing, the ‘hidden’ gem market is on!
I saw three foreigners there today, which is the most ever. One of them had been speaking to me at last weekends gem show in Glen Innes. It’s amazing how small the gem world really is.
I bought a few interesting tektites and a couple of small ruby and spinel specimens in marble.
