Once again I find myself sitting in the second worst airport in the world. I just found out that the International Departue Terminal was built in 1988. Surely they have to rebuild it soon, it is going to make us look like a hick town when the Olympics arrive!

Well, it has been a busy day today! We landed in Saigon at 5am and queued for 2hrs and 15 minutes to clear passport control. I reckon they had 6 plane loads and only 4 staff on duty. Just as we were about to be processed, they opened another 3 lanes!
Next the hotel I usually stay at has ‘swapped’ names with it’s sister hotel, So I booked the Saigonciti A Hotelo, in one street but it swapped with the Saigonciti Hotel in another street about 400m away.
Ahh the joys of travelling, we are all exhausted and having a rest before we head out for dinner, I’m just wondering if my favourite restaurant is still open!!!!!

Here we are, all feeling much better after a great nights sleep. It’s amazing what coffee and a bahn mi for breakfast can do!
We are here at the antique market looking for bargains. I just spotted some Queensland Boulder Opal!!
After buying some fruit and a fabulous lunch of pork Banh Mi, we are now touring the Lacquerware Factory. It is an incredibly complex and time consuming pricess to make each piece.
